One Location / Two Camera’s

Yes, two cameras will cost a bit more, but it is SO worth it!   I’ll explain.

With one camera the videographer will be focusing most of his/her time on the Bride and Groom. This will leave little time to focus on guests. As the Bride and Groom, you will miss many of the things that actually happen on your wedding day. Some of the best moments in a wedding video are family, friends, babies, and all the little kids running around. With an additional camera at your wedding we can ensure you won’t miss any of this. Other events such as performances, skits, dances and cake cutting are always more enjoyable to watch when filmed from different angles.

The most significant reason to hire more than one camera is to film your traditional wedding ceremony. In this case you will have one camera near the back row of your guests. This camera will most likely be mounted on a tripod and will record the entire ceremony from this location. This camera will also be the one that is connected to the wireless microphone that will be worn by the person conducting your ceremony.

The second camera will be used to film the up close segments such as saying vows, exchanging rings, the kiss, and random shots of guests as they watch the ceremony events. This camera will be moving around a bit in order to get the best angles and important shots. Because this camera will be moving around the sound it is recording will not be consistent. This is why it is important to have an additional camera as well as a professional wireless microphone system.

Having more than one camera for your entire day would be ideal but is not necessary. We suggest requesting a second (or even third) camera only for those events that you feel would need it. It is common to request a second camera (and wireless microphone system) for only one hour during your ceremony. The rest of your day can be covered with only one camera.
