Additional Location
A wedding day is filled with all sorts of events which could mean moving from one location to another. If you are having a traditional wedding ceremony and your reception is being held at the same location then this is an option you will not need to worry about. If you are having an LDS Temple wedding then this is something that you will need to address with your videographer.
The reason most videographers will charge you for an additional location is because it involves quite a bit of time (and gas). With the variety of LDS Temple locations (especially here in Utah), it is not uncommon to drive for over an hour to the temple, and then drive for over an hour to wherever the reception will be taking place. This is of course not a problem, but it does create an extra expense for your videographer.
Hobble Creek Media does travel anywhere in the world to film. Travel arrangements and expenses can be negotiated. In most cases we stick with one of the following two options;
1. The client makes all travel arrangements for HCM (booking flights, reserving hotel/car). In this case the client is assured that they are getting the best deal they can find.
2. HCM personnel will make all travel arrangements (booking flights, reserving hotel/car). This saves the client the time and hassle of making arrangements. Before booking anything, HCM will email a copy of the proposed itinerary to client for approval.
In either case there is a $35.00 per day per diem to cover incidental costs such as; food, parking, gas…
Why would you pay someone to travel so far to film your wedding?
The first and best reason is because if you find a videographer you like here in Utah, I promise you will not find a less expensive one anywhere else. The videography market here in Utah is extremely competitive which has led to extremely low prices you will not find anywhere else. Hiring a videographer from Utah, and paying for them to travel to your wedding in California, New York, or even Hawaii, is still going to be significantly cheaper than trying to find a videographer in any of those locations. And it will be a lot easier as well.
